Introduction

The educational programme on the FIAPP methodology in the construction industry is a presentation of the basic concepts and the potential of this methodology. The first chapters analyse the current state of the construction industry, and present new practices and the FIAPP approach to projects. Then, the advantages, evolution and comparison of FIAPP with other technologies are discussed. The program also discusses the impact of FIAPP on the work environment, 4D design models, and the technology’s disadvantages. Finally, a review of future developments in FIAPP is provided, offering participants the necessary tools to successfully implement FIAPP in the manufacturing sector.

The author of the educational notes is Katerina Theofanidou. Katerina Theofanidou is a graduate of the Department of Industrial Management and Technology of the University of Piraeus with a Master’s degree in Energy Management and Environmental Protection from NTUA and the University of Piraeus. She is also a certified adult educator of non-formal education by EOPPEP and by the Central Association of German Chambers of Commerce (DIHK e.V.).
