INFORMATON

Introduction

STEM is a new discipline which is an approach to Education which aims to introduce Technologies and Engineering Science into the teaching of Mathematics and Science, which are the means for humans to interact with the universe.

The purpose of the ‘STEM’ training programme is to educate those who are interested in the use of techniques and tools.

The programme is implemented through distance asynchronous tele-education, is four hundred (400) hours long and does not require the presence of trainees in in-person meetings.

Intended participants

This specific training programme is intended for:

  • Educators
  • Pupils- Students- Graduates of all educational subjects and levels of education
  • Employees and business executives

Modules

  • Modules
    • Introduction to STEM concepts
    • Practical learning of Chemistry – Physics
    • Courses on basic programming principles and ways of teaching programming (for educators)
    • Introducing students to programming
    • Inspiring young people to get involved in STEM projects (designing communication activities and learning resources)
    • Evaluating and improving a STEM programme

Benefits

The graduates of the programme receive:

  • After the completion of the training, the participants will receive a Certificate of Successful Attendance from APOPSI.
  • 1 point in the subject of the announced posts in the selection of teachers in DIEK (Vocational Education and Training Centres) and SDE (Second Chance Schools).
