Academic Supervisors’ Details

Dimitris Koutras

The author of the book is Dimitris Koutras. He is a PhD candidate on the topic “Three-layer security architecture analysis for interconnected devices and development of security measures” at the University of Piraeus, Department of Computer Science. He received his B.Sc. degree in Computer Engineering and Computer Technology from the Technological Educational Institute of Central Greece (Lamia-2016). He then obtained his M.Sc. degree in Security Management Engineering from the University of Piraeus (Piraeus-2019). He is currently participating in research programs and projects of the University of Piraeus. He holds an ISO 27001:2013 Lead Auditor certification for information security. His research work focuses on network security analysis, risk assessment and operating systems security. In addition, he has participated in several projects involving, for example, writing a book on distributed systems, as well as writing educational materials in various areas of IT and cybersecurity. In addition, he is an instructor in many Greek, European and global training projects related to cybersecurity in various critical infrastructures.
