Introduction

The educational programme introduces the basic concepts of Management Science and Organisation. The trainee will examine approaches to financing innovation, sources and barriers to technology development in Greece, as well as current trends. They will learn to analyze the importance and types of innovation technology, their operating models, and their strategic relationship to outcomes. They will also understand Human Resource Management, Entrepreneurship, and the characteristics of a business. Finally, they will be able to identify key financial ratios and make decisions to solve problems.

Purpose - Objective

The purpose of the training programme is to describe, analyse and articulate the concepts of technology, innovation and strategy, and the connections between these areas. The aim of the programme is to improve the quality of life and enhance business effectiveness through the utilisation of technology and innovation in a world characterised by constant change, ambiguity and high volatility.

Georgios Simeonidis

The author of the educational material is Georgios Simeonidis, economist, PhD. He has authored numerous studies on economic issues and is a member of the institutionally recognized greek social innovation scheme (E.E.K.K.) and is also the national coordinator of part of the scheme’s operations. Dimitris Panopoulos, Head of the Department of Research and Documentation of Labour Policies of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, also a member of the E.E.K.K. and operational coordinator of the scheme, made a valuable contribution to the development of the educational material.
